Online Resources

For Recruiting Volunteers

  • The Points of Light Foundation has links to volunteer centers throughout the country, most of which maintain local databases of volunteer opportunities. Since it has a local focus, it is a good place to post a request for local senior volunteers.

  • The USA Freedom Corps Volunteer Network is a government sponsored centralized volunteer site.

  • Network for Good is a partnership of national non-profit organizations and some large Internet companies.

  • SERVEnet, a project of Youth Service America, posts volunteer opportunities for people of all ages.
